I have the same error IDK what to do
so do you have solution? I use LANDrop on iphone and my lattop now
My solution is since I use an iPhone I bought the adapter for lightning cable to female usb and usb-c
So I can plug in a usb keyboard mouse or stick and charge my phone
You have to run owl as root and specify an interface, i.e.:
sudo owl -i wlan0
@Lezurex ,Thansk for your reply. I try it and got some blue result.

Fot time reason, I will not dive into this issue. Just let it go. LanDrop work fine.
