As per the suggestion of David Dumonde over at Facebook, remove the Hello Dolly plugin if it is still installed.

add Akismet to that, if not activated.

And a suggestion by Jeff Starr to remove all but the most recent default theme.
Probably the easiest way to do that, is to update the plugin on a yearly basis (when the WP version with the new theme is released)
