Create Shifting Items in Bottom Navigation

According to the doc , one can create shifting items in the bottom nav and there is a custom view for that called BottomNavigationShiftingItemView however its a internal class hence one can't use it . Is there any way to achieve the same animations without manually redoing all the animation.
