0acd32fca79fe6c54ea22db3e3d4f606a174d1ee + 919cc670175820e46f351557bed29fafe7074258 are nice but we need to do it without tacking a lifetime on Token.

I am always willing to consider a PR to improve serde_test error messages, but closing this issue because I don't plan to pursue this.
