Question: where is the file libesl.a of freeswitch-1.6.20

I "make" and "make install" freeswtich-1.6.20, and search all the disk ,still cannot find where is the file "libesl.a". will it not be generated in my version?

I finally found it in "freeswitch-1.6.20/libs/esl/libs", I am not sure whether I run "make" at directory "freeswitch-1.6.20/libs/esl/" makes effect or it was right there
