Panorama:

  • allow clicking the scrollbar to go to that position
  • label the scrollbar ends "cylinder" and "flat"
  • fade away the viewing cones when not in cylinder mode

Stereographic:

  • use the circle figure as its base
  • add second camera at the bottom of the circle
  • clickable cameras, where viewing cones and their respective camera fades (completely or subtlely)

Sphere vs Cylinder:

  • perhaps take advantage of the narrow width of the page, and add supplementary margin sections for descriptions on spherical instead of cylindrical projections.

World projections:

  • create a final section that describes the world of map projections

Cube projection:

  • Describe how the game is able to capture its environment with 6 standard projections

Perhaps, make the panoramic projection diagram flat by default. Then unroll when the user is moving the objects only.

And perhaps, make the stereographic projection diagram show only the cam2 projection by default. Then show the cam1 projection instead when moving objects only.

Use Processing or Polycode to generate 3D images for showing how a wireframed 3D sphere/cylinder is unwrapped or projected onto a flat frame.
