Do not clear the input field

Is it possible to add an option, so that the text would stay in the field?
Sometimes I just need to add something from a different web page to complete the sentence in the input field, only to discover that the previous entry was deleted. There's already a handy button for copying translation to clipboard. Could be handy to have the same button for input, as well as "clear" button and "input previous entry" button.
