Freeze on Alt-Tab process switching

The game loads and plays fine, but when I Alt-Tab (in Ubuntu 16.04 Unity) I get a frozen screen (no mouse, league still, but sounds play fine). I'm using nVidia proprietary drivers on a 2017 nVidia card.
