Too late to fix for this year though.

I dropped an eye but currently have no clue why this happen.

Maybe pandoc does some default font styling that inffluences footer
printing...

Also maybe it's not in LaTeX that it's bold but in Pandoc that it's thin?

This line added by pandoc is the cause of the bug:

\usepackage{lmodern}
