Wildfly-8.0.0.Final: NestedServletException: Request processing failed; NullPointerException

The project war file is able to successfully deploy on Wildfly-8.0.0.Final. You can be able to view the homepage on the browser but the following error stacktrace is logged on the console window of the server:

Investigation of the root cause of this issue is underway. In the meantime, please make an upgrade to: wildfly-8.2.0.Final

The Wildfly-8.2.0.Final server needs an update to be done on the fasterxml jackson jars:
./wildfly-8.2.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/com/fasterxml/jackson/core/*/*.jar

An update needs to also be done for all these three jars versions mapping inside the module.xml file.

The version of fasterxml jackson that was used to make this update is: 2.8.10

The Wildfly-8.2.0.Final server needs an update to be done on the undertow jars:
./wildfly-8.2.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/io/undertow/servlet/main/*.jar
./wildfly-8.2.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/io/undertow/core/main/*.jar

An update needs to also be done for all these two jars versions mapping inside the module.xml file.

The version of undertow that was used to make this update is: 1.1.0.Final

However, accessing the home page with the URL: http://localhost:8080/CompanyRestService/
is not possible as it displays an error page.

Accessing the home page with the URL: http://localhost:8080/CompanyRestService/homePage.htm
displays the home page successfully and member details can be saved to the database.

Best solution is to upgrade the server to Wildfly-8.2.0.Final
