Yes, in the paper we compare directly to the DeepUPE baseline: Underexposed Photo Enhancement using Deep Illumination Estimation https://jiaya.me/papers/photoenhance_cvpr19.pdf. We find that CURL significantly outperforms DeepUPE for underexposed photo enhancement.
