Street Safety!!

Can data science help prevent deaths and severe injuries on Houston roadways?? We're hoping to use TxDOT crash data, METRO GTFS data (bus stop and rail station locations/info), H-GAC's preliminary sidewalk dataset, and open street map to model and understand the factors associated with severe and fatal crashes, and then identify the intersections that are the most likely to see severe collisions in the future (independent of crash history). This type of statistical modeling can enable the City to be proactive about street safety, and fix high-risk intersections before tragic crashes occur.
Do we have links to this data? Would be helpful in starting a project around this.
Here are some links I have found:
TxDOT crash data: https://www.txdot.gov/government/enforcement/crash-statistics.html
