Failing stream in STG environments

The application is not working in stage environments due to stream failure. One of the theory for the failure is that there are some firewall restrictions for http requests. This is the error message we get when making a curl request from within the the environment:
Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to hooks.slack.com:443
