Confusion Status Hit Damage Calculation

I'm currently in the middle of implementing the damage calculation for the confusion status hit, but I realized that by doing this, I won't be able to cover the special cases outlined here that refer to a base move. Should I continue going down this path, or should I give up and implement in a similar way to how Z-moves work? The latter case would require some UI changes, but it would be more accurate.

Probably easier to go with the latter
