Few improvements

First of all, great app! I really enjoy using this.
I'm using the Windows version.

  • The output image is JPG, so it'd be wiser to let the image save as JPG instead of PNG when exporting
    Or...
  • Add "All Types" to the Export dialog so I can select JPG files to overwrite

And some features I'd be happy to see:

  • Import first frame of GIF to be edited
  • Allow top tabs to be selected
  • Uniform minimum size for top tabs so I can access the Close button
  • Change Ctrl+W hotkey from closing the app to closing the current tab

hey @UnforeseenOcean,

thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you like the app! These are great suggestions, thank you for taking the time to add them here.

To make sure I understand them correctly, could you add add some more details to the following points?

Add "All Types" to the Export dialog so I can select JPG files to overwrite

Could you add an example here? Maybe a screenshot from another app that does this?

Allow top tabs to be selected

Could you explain a little bit more what this means / how this would help you? Would there be any additional functionality?

Thanks again!

I should have added the images, sorry! Here you go:

The Export menu does not let me select "JPG" for the file type. I have to manually type in "filename.jpg" to save it as JPG.

For the top tab, when many images are opened, it does not open the said tab when clicked on it. I think adding a minimum width for the tab should fix this issue.

(This issue seems to be occurring because the text is defined as the spot to click for activating the tab, not the tab itself)

This is great! Thank you for taking the time to add these screen recordings!

hey @UnforeseenOcean I just added a new version of the app that addresses most of your suggestions. you can download it here:

Let me know what you think and if everything works as expected. I haven't yet figured out how exactly to deal with .gif files, so this will probably have to wait for another update.

Excellent! Thank you so much for the update, and I love it!

Fantastic app, i really really love it! One thing i would like to see would be an option to randomly create like 24 (or more) glitched images and export them into a folder. Like a batch process.

Another suggestion would be the ability to change the values of the slider via mouse wheel. Left click and drag feels a bit too fiddly.

edit: Is there a way to send you a bit of money? I don't have much but wanne give something back.

edit2: Whenever i use a slider it takes a bit more time to get an update on the glitched image since the new update. So i guess a performance regression? I believe that wasn't the case with the older version.

edit3: Ok the performance is pretty much similar to the older version 0.1.3

@elecinfec Thank you for your interest in the app, I'm really glad you like it!

I will look into that. This would probably require some changes to the user interface, so I maybe I can combine it with a new GIF functionality…

This is a great idea! I'll add it in the next version.

I think setting up a way to charge money / take donations for this app is not really worth it at the moment (Where I live, it's a little bit of a hassle to set this up correctly). So if you want to give something back, how about you donate to a charity of your choice instead?

I'll look into that.

Thank you for taking the time to write up and post your feedback here. Much appreciated!
