Choice of image viewer

Image files with an item type of "g" or "I" will be opened using the "feh" image viewer (if installed)

Maybe it would be better to consult the user's ~/.mailcap or have an option somewhere?

You can change which programs are used for certain files using the "handler" command. This is detailed in the readme.
