Booted into DFU - Solo key is no longer recognized and only shows up as STM32 BOOTLOADER

I recently bought a Somu hacker but decided to turn it into a secure key using this guide

I get to the part where I enter these two commands...

solo program aux enter-bootloader
solo program aux enter-dfu

... afterwards Windows installs a new driver, and I get a terminal message saying to power cycle my key by unplugging it and plugging it back in. I do this, but no lights light up when I plug it back in, and nothing seems to happen on my pc. I'm not able to get the key to show up using solo ls. I check device manager and it shows up as STM32 BOOTLOADER. That's as far as I've been able to troubleshoot.

So have I bricked it?
