Offer task view mode linking applications and specific tasks to discover software

Currently users can explore and discover software through categories. What about offering an additional software discovery mode based on common user activities, linking applications and specific tasks ("I need a program that does this")? A user could perhaps switch between these two modes (category view/task view). Possible activities could be centered around general action verbs to then be followed by more specified tasks:

  • install a printer
  • manage torrent downloads
  • listen to internet radio
  • import photos from a camera
  • convert media files
  • edit a video
  • learn how to typewrite

TL;DR: Offer "task view" mode alongside a "category view" to discover software in the solus-sc.

Today I read that the Korora Project has published a guide to match applications to specific tasks: https://kororaproject.org/support/documentation/tour-of-korora-software-i-need-a-program-that-does-this

Implementing something similar as part of the solus-sc would be great.
