What is the issue:

While trying to download the 4k version of 'Historien om Sverige', get the error: "Can't find that quality. Try a different one listed in --list-quality or try --flexible-quality"

your issue is related to this line

and you can see in the --list-quality line

last time i checked hevc-51 is not h264-51 . i recommend you reading https://svtplay-dl.se/4.69/
you are using an old version of svtplay-dl. 4.69 was release few days ago. :)

*You can specify --format dvhevc-51,dvhevc,hevc-51,hevc to only get videos with dolby vision with and without 5.1 sound and hevc with and without 5.1 sound. by default svtplay-dl only download h264-51 and h264.

I haven't specify anything more than quality 19603 as you can see in my previous post..

I even tried to add resolution: ">=1080", but now it will only download 1080. If i add >= it should download higher as 1080 and if that not exists it should download 1080 or have i misunderstood something?.

Do i see any h264 or h264-51 in the top under codec for 4k videos? no.
using my glasses, do i still see any h264 in the top there? not at all.
then im starting to think. maybe i cant fint those videos because they have a different format then the one im requesting? it most be it 🤔 last time i checked h264 is not the same as hevc 😄

If i specify format-preferred: hevc-51 in the svtplay-dl.yaml it will still download h264-51.

Oh, hevc-51 will not work in the config file.

i was wrong in my previous comment beacuse i added it to my config.

sooo if you want to download the 4k video. you need to specify the --format-preferred for the specific stream becaue the the codec its different than the standard h264,h264-51 one.

you can just put

service:
    svtplay:
      format_preferred: h264,hevc,h264-51,hevc-51

in your config and it will choose it automagically. if you want the dolby vison too. you can just add dvhevc-51,dvhevc to the line

these default codecs thing was added back in 2020-07-28. im not sure how many devices do support hevc videos today 🤔
