Hey everyone,

As you have probably noticed I don't have enough time to update Slimpack in time. It's not a priority for me. I find I have to do regular updates to copy and paste core files from Jetpack to Slimpack, it's boring for me.

However there seems to be a lot of new features adding to Jetpack, I want some maintainers who're willing to update Slimpack the way it deserves.

N.B.

  • Most of the functions in class.jetpack.php are removed.
  • Most of the core files copied from Jetpack are untouched, some external files are bundled into Slimpack so only some URLs are changed.
  • Some classes require WordPress.com connections, they are stripped, so not all Jetpack classes are available in Slimpack.
  • I will still keep an eye on this project for irregularly updates and critical fixes.

Hey Sparanoid. I have no experience contributing to projects on GitHub, but it's something I've been wanting to do. I think Slimpack is great and I would like to contribute to it.

Would this involve watching Jetpack for updates and then updating Slimpack with those updates? Would I then submit a pull request to you when I think everything is good?

Hey @sparanoid. I'm working on adding the latest Jetpack updates to Slimpack right now.
