Question on Map Widget : how the coordinates need to be encoded in the data and can it handle any projections or just the wgs84?

Dear all,
I'm using Sparnatural and quite happy with it! Thank you for developing this.
I would also like to allow users to search using the map widget for search but I cannot find documentation about how to set it up. Namely how the coordinates need to be encoded in the data and can it handle any projections or just the wgs84?
