Camera Info

Hi, I notice the A-scans rate (4x10^6 Hz/ sec)is surprisingly high in Table 1. And the hardware info was not mentioned in the paper. What kind of Camera and image acquisition card the "Lab Computer" is acquired with?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hi, you are probably referring to Table 1 in this paper, right?
Sorry I have to disappoint you 😄, the paper only deals with the software itself and does not include performance measurements of actual OCT systems. Table 1 was created using the Virtual OCT System, you can find more details here. (By the way: The processing rates in the upcoming version v1.6.0 will be a bit better)
If you want to build a fast OCT system your best option is to go with swept source OCT. Up to date there are two commercial manufacturers of MHz swept sources for OCT (as far as I am aware): octlight.com and optores.com
On the data acquisition side you need a suitable digitizer for MHz OCT, there are several options, for example Teledyne or AlazarTech have some very fast digitizers.
I know that OCTproZ is already being used with different types of OCT setups. The fastest system, I am aware of, uses an AlazarTech digitizer and achieves an A-scan rate of around 1.6 MHz.
