Urgent: Brushes 3 files corrupting! Please Help!

Hi - I am a professional artist and have been a paid user of every brushes program including the first for iPhone, the iPad v2 and Brushes 3 (with in-app layers purchase). I have bought and tried out numerous other ipad painting programs but always come back to Brushes as the most intuitive and suited for my work.

I have creating hundreds of paintings on Brushes over the last few years and I am currently working on a daily series of paintings for exhibition.

Unfortunately in the last week 3 of my original paintings have become corrupted (one by one, the most recent one just minutes ago) and I can't open them getting the error 'Could Not Open Painting There was a problem opening "paintingname"' (screenshot of error msg attached). The paintings are fine when I create them but when I go back to them a few hours or days later they are corrupt. It has not happened to all Brushes files I have created in the last week and I have not seen corruptions in any other app on the ipad. I have not been able to find a reference to a similar issue with Brushes by searching online.

I have started backing up the paintings to the camera roll and backing up the ipad nightly but this is making brushes unusable. I am using a two-year old ipad 3 retina with 64GB storage running IOS 7.04 that has 12GB free storage.

Two of the files I think I should have in iTunes backups but could you please tell me how to recover them as the camera roll versions are not sufficient resolution for exhibition. I prefer not to use online repositories such as icloud or dropbox due to privacy/security concerns.

Thanks for any help you can provide. I understand that Brushes is now open source and not paying your rent or your primary focus (I applaud your decision to make it open source). I'm a professional artist, and I have got the same problem. I can't open any file of brushes. Why??? I have to recovered all my digital paintings. Do you know how to solve this incident? Please, write to me to eugenioocana@icloud.com thank you very much.

Sorry... This issue i had was never resolved. The spontaneous corruptions continued and the only option was to back up every change on dropbox and replace corrupted files. Unfortunately i had to give up on brushes as a professional tool.

This is also happening to me and I have e sane ipad. Surely the developers have to provide a solution. If not, goodbye brushes3

I have the same issue (although I'm not a professional artist). IT seems to have appeared since iOS 8./0 (but continues through 8.0.2 and 8.1). It's a real shame that such a brilliant app no longer works to its original fantastic potential.
