release 1.0.0.RELEASE not connecting to eureka

I pulled down the source of the 1.0.0.RELEASE of the turbine distro. After building and running, it seems like it will not connect to eureka. I have other services which connect to eureka fine.

Should I expect it to register to Eureka?

I resolved this by placing the eureka configuration in bootstrap. It can be closed
