Can't connect to server if a trailing slash is present

Version 1.0.26

If a trailing slash is present, user will get the message "an error occurred, try again later" after changing the server to something like https://troll.tv/ (omit the trailing slash and it works). The problem also reproduces with other server addresses.

I am currently working on a server selection activity. This will deal with such things as well as give you a list from https://instances.joinpeertube.org/api/v1/instances to select from.
