Putting a state or province could be a smart thing to do....

Those are exported via:

    'adminCode',
    'countrySubdivision',
    'municipality',
    'municipalitySubdivision'

You can have a look at: http://download.geonames.org/export/dump/readme.txt

I'm happy to accept a PR with a option to resolve those If you want to take a shot at it.
