[Bug] Language switching doesn't seem to persist app wide

Repro:

Set a different language
Go to home page
Go to add contribution
Page should stil be in the previous or device language

Additional:

Go back to change language
Selected item is not what you just picked

This even happens with the content in the first page after changing language. Very odd.
