XDM beta settings don't save

Describe the bug
When removing the folder file types in XDM so that files are not sorted, the feature works as intended: Executables are not sorted, zips are not sorted, etc. They are all just put into the Downloads folder.
HOWEVER (This is the issue), after a restart, the settings are erased and thus (for this example) downloaded file types are then sorted in their own folders again.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to settings
- Click on the general settings tab
- Scroll down to the download categories section
- Remove all file type categories and uncheck the "Automatically select download folder based on file type"
- Click save
- Restart computer
- The settings that we're just set before are now gone, this is the bug.
Expected behavior
Settings save
please complete the following information:
- OS: Windows 10
- Browser: Brave
- XDM addon Version: 3.5
- XDM Version: 8.0.29 BETA
I am having the same issue, thanks for reporting.
Found a workaround
I deleted everything in the "download categories" section in the settings and added only one category and added a bunch of file types in that category. Now, even though the option to not download in categories keeps resetting, all types of files download under that one category I made. I set the download location to just the downloads folder and now everything is downloaded there and not in separate folders.
@FrostedVolcano This works for the meantime, thanks. For others, here is a list of some common file types to put into that "all files" folder: .DOC,.DOCX,.PDF,.MD,.XLSX,.XLS,.CBZ,.MP3,.AAC,.MPA,.WMA,.MIDI,.MP4,.WEBM,.OGG,.FLV,.MKV,.DIVX,.MOV,.MPG,.MPEG,.OPUS,.AVI,.WMV,.TS,.7Z,.ZIP,.RAR,.BZ2,.GZ,.XZ,.TAR,.EXE,.DEB,.RPM,.MSI
