"Xash 3D FWGS Launcher is not responding" Audio stutters, game freezes and crashes

When I start a save the game will play normally for a few seconds then the audio stutters along with the game freezing and a crash always happens afterwards. No matter what I do or where I am this always happens. I'm on the latest nvidia drivers if it helps.
My specs : 5800x3D, RTX 3080 12GB, 16gb ram @ 3000mhz, Windows 10
