Which version of wget do you have? It's appending .html to the output filename, which is unexpected.

I had this in my ~/.wgetrc

# Add a `.html` extension to `text/html` or `application/xhtml+xml` files that lack one, or a `.css`    extension to `text/css` files that lack one
adjust_extension = on

Disabling it fixed the problem. Thanks.
