Devise testing instructions

In order to get some more real life testing feedback, it would be great to provide some documentation on how people can measure the plugin's impact on their sites. Perhaps by installing Performance Lab (for Server-Timing) and then running some tests before & after.
What's the best tool for anyone to easily test the results? Some ideas:
- Query Monitor (quickly see memory usage & load time decrease)
- The wpp-research cli tool
- Lighthouse
- WebPageTest (too complicated for average user)
- A custom web app (what should it do, ping an AP?I)
- Build something directly into the plugin (but how to compare before/after?)
Ideally something that tests the Server-Timing values
