There are a lot of random choices going on in this test, and I haven't tried to track down what the cause is, but it occasionally uses a lot of resources. As an example, at commit v2024.04.12-7-geded15d6fc with seed 1244598744 it takes almost 2 minutes on my machine (Debug) and aver 15 GB of memory.
