Isuued with term and evil-escape keys

Hi,
I'm experiencing the same issue reported here syl20bnr/spacemacs#7137 and I didn't see an issue opened here about it. I've confirmed that this bug is caused by evil-escape and only occurs when entering one of the evil-escape keys.
