[3.0beta2] Dropping not working

Dragging and dropping an entry from the SSM field into a textarea is not resulting in any text/reference being added to the textarea.

The drop text area that goes with the mouse cursor is empty.

The dark drop indicator with downward-pointing arrow in a dotted circle of the textarea does appear.

Tested in Firefox and Chromium, Ubuntu.
