Start Service Automatically on Boot not working

sbobbo opened this issue · 0 comments

Starting recently it seems, Syncthing will no longer start on boot even with "Start Service Automatically on Boot" enabled.

  • Location services are enabled globally on the phone
  • Syncthing's location permissions are set to "Allow all the time" in app settings
  • Battery usage is set to Unrestricted in app settings
  • All notifications are enabled in app settings

Despite the above, upon reboot of the phone, signing in, and automatically connecting to my Wifi, Syncthing will not start. I have toggled and messed with most other settings. Disabling "run conditions" does not help. Changing whether run conditions include specific wifi networks or AC/battery doesn't help, "keep the cpu awake while syncthing is running" doesn't help. No matter what i do, after a reboot, it seems I must launch the app to get it to start syncing.

My phone was wiped recently due to motherboard damage and replacement, so this is a fresh install of Android 13. I did not have problems previously, and the only thing that possibly changed on my end is a newer build/security updates compared to before. I've been using the app for years, and I have no idea what i could be doing wrong. This hasn't been an issue before.
