Mic volume in pulsemixer is reset on service start

I've been trying to track down why voice recognition works fine for a while and then stops. I finally tracked down that every time the HA Satellite process is restarting, my microphone mixer control in pulsemixer is being reset from 100 to 33.
Is this somehow configurable? I've changed every setting I can see when starting HA Satellite and can't for the life of me figure out what is causing this.

The satellite does not set the microphone volume, it's likely pulseaudio that resets it (although it should remember it after you manually change it in pulsemixer). Try deleting all *.tdb files under $HOME/.config/pulse.
