Ubuntu cannot recognize the external connected monitor after updating the kernel to the latest version using the update_t2_kernel command and "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade"
I have an external monitor connected via an HDMI to USB-C adapter and it worked fine before.
I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

I tried a different adapter and it works, so I think the problem might be the adapter.
