Can't get multiple assignees

Whenever I tried to listIssues() it gives me only first assignee of assignees array it found. I tried to understand GitHubObject. Can you tell me when 'if' statement of default case of switch statement inside constructor would be called_(if condition which match contain preg_match)_? What is the ultimate aim to use this preg_match in if because in my case it never entered into if statement.
