Hello,
After installing GPS 1.3 and running gimp from the command line, I see
these errors:
mikey@rohan:~$ gimp
GIMP-Error: Failed to load data:
Fatal parse error in pattern file
'/home/mikey/.gimp-2.6/patterns/screen.pat': Unknown pattern format version
65536.
GIMP-Error: Failed to load data:
Fatal parse error in palette file
'/home/mikey/.gimp-2.6/palettes/color_wheel-2-cmyk.aco': Missing magic header.
GIMP-Error: Failed to load data:
Fatal parse error in palette file
'/home/mikey/.gimp-2.6/palettes/color_wheel-2-rgb.aco': Missing magic header.
Most of GPS seems to load, but I'm guessing without these files that have
errors.
I am running Gimp 2.6.7 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala
I have tried replacing these files with older versions from the 1.2 release
with the same errors.
Is this a known problem?
Otherwise I really think GPS is a great idea and really look forward to
using it.

Just checked, its probably GimpPainter issue. Works fine with
official/repository
version, but shows this error on self compiled GimpPainter, patched with .diff.

Hi man, thanks for the report. I use win Vista so i did not see any errors in
console
mode. I see that gimpainter has good things, really good things for painting.
(i have
to make some videos about this, i need time :S ) but it is strange in some ways
.i
have tested GPS on Gimp and GimpPainter and all presets works ok.
let me know if you find more errors or weird things please.

I was probably wrong (dont know why). Same erros apears on normal Gimp too.
These
with .aco files are nothing to be concerned about. Gimp tries to read these
files
directly but they can only be imported and saved as .gpl files (which was
already
done). So .aco files are not required and should be deleted. Pattern file
screen.pat
looks corrupted and is the only one which cannot be opened with Gimp for
editing.

Hi, tested at house . and fixed. I have removed all .aco files (i don´t know
why they
were here ¬¬ honestly) and i have also fixed some minor bugs in presets. the
.pat is
a file from Photoshop so i have deleted too. Thanks for the comments

- Changed state: Fixed

Is there some repository where one can get fixed version? The svn source here is
frozen at GPS 1.2, not even 1.3 - so maybe it's somewhere else? If there is no
public
repository, is there some time estimate for next release?
