Yes, a lot of apps use this feature. For example, Tinder does

Yes, the APIs are provided by Apple themselves. It is a wrapper around them for Flutter.

  • Although, setting the showAlert flag as false uses a private undocumented API in which case you are on your own but according to other developers, it hasn't been a problem.
  • But if you just leave showAlert flag as true, it shouldn't be a problem as that was it uses a normal public API by Apple.
