[updater v2] macOS app fails to check for updates

I have an app built on v2, and it's been failing to check for an update (from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4). When I open 1.3.3, it does not display the updater dialog.

Oh, I just checked the migration docs and saw we have to manually check for updates now. 🫠 Apologies.
