Logo help wanted

Just putting it out there if anyone has logo design experience, I'm trying to do something that speaks open and standards, while also looking nice.
I've been thinking about using <±/> as a way to represent a diff and HTML. It's really self describing, but doesn't look all that great on its own. I'd like to see something with more emphasis and intentioned layout.
@nickbytes that looks awesome, although the lack of the diff symbol is a bit of a sad loss there.
@deathbearbrown lmao that is amazing! I love dachshunds too 🐶
@nickbytes what if you tried the side by side IDE diff?
One pale grey or red box with diff
in it and one pale green box with html
in it
note: I don't know nothin' about making logos.
I do like that @deathbearbrown
I think basing logos on HTML5/CSS3 shields might be overdone / can seem uninspired, but I know you were at one point all about this becoming a standard, so I figured it would be worthwhile to see what it would look like:

@jmeas isn't that kind of stealing?

yes you are 100% right. i regret making that recommendation : [ gonna remove the img from the post
@quarterto That looks really interesting! I'm not so sure about the colors, but I love the concept. I might around with them a bit tonight.
@quarterto no worries, i love the idea!
Now that I'm at Netflix I have more resources available and found an internal designer who is working with me on creating a logo. Thanks to everyone who submitted a design here!
