Parachute Installed But Cannot Activate It

I've installed parachute and can see it activated in my kwin, but I cannot seem to trigger it. I had raised this bug previously, but was closed with comment that version 0.91 has fixed it. Today I installed version 0.91 but exact same issue persists.

ctrl+meta+d or ctrl+meta+z do nothing. I removed virtual desktop bar and restarted my pc so that it would not be a factor.

I'm new to github (2nd report) and bug reporting so let me know if I am missing any important info.
