Describe the bug
An Invalid/outdated auth token on a login request causes the login page to display an error then refresh.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Login to the platform
  2. Log out of the platform
  3. Try login to the platform again
  4. See error (displays briefly then page refreshes)

Expected behavior
Auth token should be removed on logout. The login page should also display an error when an auth token is invalid and ensure token is removed. The page shouldn't refresh.
