Your description shows that it works from any video, any user profile page. It does not now.

Nowdays if you click user it has more profile url like this:
https://www.youtube.com/c/SaraAlvarez

You would have to find @ ping or username to have url like this:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU69HIoo2r0tPcrwQxUOT-A

So, only time icon appears now is when url is like just above. It does not appear in any video, nor profile page with url like first url.
