Extremely High CPU Usage as of 2-3 months ago on Fog/Cloud effects

I've tried this last year using fog and it worked great. Not sure why now it seems to have 100% cpu usage even on the demo sites. My site actually nearly freezes my whole PC when I go to it. Is there a reason why and any way to fix this?
