E , W marking seem swapped

7pm, Sun setting, and horizon compass marking near the Sun says "E".
Is that correct?

The cardinal directions are correct. They are mirrored, because the chart shows the sky over your head. For more details, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planisphere

But there is a problem with the location. The App did not receive a GPS location and uses the default location. See the small text on the top, it says "GPS: 0". It should turn to "GPS: 1" after the App received an GPS location. For Los Angeles timezone, the longitude should be negative. At the moment, you are using Los Angeles time with a location in central Europe. Try to enter the location manually and check #8 if there are problems with the location service.

I will probably improve the location dialog in some way. It seems to be confusing and counter intuitive.

Thanks for your reply. I set the Location to my Lat-Lon, the Sun is in the right place now and your explantion makes sense. Thanks for setting me straight. I'm surprized that in the overhead view, 270deg gets paired with East. I'll have to learn. Back then I saw "Los Angeles" and I assumed that meant location as well as time. Now I understand that the coordinate numbers after it tell the location. As a new user, seeing tags "Time:" and "Loc:", in the display top-line, would have helped me. Maybe on 2 lines at the top, instead of 1 line. I do know my timezone abbreviation, PST or PDT. Having a setting option to show: a) 2 lines for new user mode, or b) 1-line compacted for familiar users would be nice. Having an offline help page which describes the top line would have helped me too. I tried looking for "help", did not quite find it. Possibly I could help by writing concise help-text in English that I would have understood. There is a new location dialog in v1.7.0 and a new help text. Hope that reduces confusion for new users in the future. Having a more extensive info line at the top is also a good idea. I keept that for later.
