Credentials Not Working

Do the S3 buckets need any sort of special permissions?
I created a brand new bucket made a new IAM user with keys and granted permissions to S3 full access and read-only.
However, I'm receiving:
The AWS credentials you provided did not work. Please review your details and try again. You can do so using our config script.

Don't know what happened but it just started working.
