I struggled a bit, but eventually I got the plugin to work.
Would notification support be feasible? Enabling a toast notification when shared folders are synced?

I know this is a longshot, but could you explain how you got the plugin to work? I can't get it to work for the life of me.

There definately was something I had to do with the ports, I can't fully remember. I think it involved editing the snything-gtk config file to use the proper port.
