  1. HIGH Importance: On the Blog Post list in Cloud Cannon: When the listing load for the first time, they are in date order (newest to oldest). You can change the “View” allowing you to see the posts in a List, Cards or Gallery. When you change these - the date order remains.
However, if you select the A-Z Title View, once it’s selected, there is no way, that I can find, to view the listings in Date Order again. The only way that I could find was to quit my browser, clear my cache, and log back in.
  • (a) Are you guys able to fix the view so we can go back to Date Order?

  • (b) There are a number of Drafted Posts that the writer uses to develop new content. Is there a way to sort so that all the Drafts are listed together?

  • 2) I think I generally understand the saving, building and publishing steps. Can you tell me if this is right?
When you hit “Save” on a page, it saves then builds the changes.

Question: Would it be better to make all or most of the changes you are looking to make, then hit the main “Save” button in the sidebar, above the Publish button? Is this a seemingly better approach, because you’re not making the site “Build” itself a bunch of times in a row?
Once you save, and the site rebuilds - Then, you can view the Live Site Preview. But the changes won’t actually be live until you hit “Publish”.

  • Question: We ran into this today - one of us was making changes, but they were still in review and not ready to be pushed live (but they were saved). But I was making other changes that I wanted to push live immediately. Is there a way to control what is published? So - can we selectively publish things in cue to publish?

  • 3) We will need to give Janice Langlinais access to be able to upload images separately from the pages. You guys gave me access to the “Files” so I can navigate to the image folders and upload separately from being on a page. We ran into a situation (the CTA links at the top of the dining page) where she needed to upload the new PDF’s (separately) and then put the new path in the CTA interface on the page. Since I have access, I ended up doing this for her, but I would like her to be able to upload without needing my assistance. I trust her to not F anything up in there.

  • 4) Please remove the “Warning Copy” field from the sidebar on the blogs. Just have the On/Off Warning button show or hide the Warning snippet Régis created a few years ago.

  • 5) When adding a link to a page to another part of the site, how do we find the main “Trip Ideas” page? We link to that page a lot in our blog posts, and we’ll need to get this in place as soon as possible.

  • 6) Can you guys check and see if there were H4, H5 or H6 formatting? Or at least H4? It seemed we had that heading available before, and the client said she used it a lot.

  • 7) Question: If I upload a PDF (for example) with the same name as an existing PDF, will it overwrite the old PDF? I’ve been playing with that a little and it seems to be working that way. I just want to make sure.

  • 8) We were getting an “Un Oh Can’t Connect” error frequently when I was doing training with the team last week. Is this common or something we should worry about?

  • 9) I may have mentioned this before, but there are too many folders now for images. It would be really good if everything went into the original /img folder, so that everything (old and new) are there. It’s confusing for my client to have several image (upload and img) folders.

  • 10) When working in any of the sections in CloudCannon, there is a “Filter” field. Is there a way to clear this field when leaving the section? When you come back to (for example) add another image to a page, the “Filter” field still has the last search text in it. It would be really helpful to have this field cleared when you leave.
